What exactly is licensed?

Three things: the right to use a named master's name and likeness in connection with a machine or recipe profile; a certification mark confirming the profile was reviewed and endorsed by that master; and, where commissioned, first-person recorded demonstration data with cleared commercial rights and documented provenance. A technique itself is not claimed as property and is not licensed.

Why would a manufacturer pay for this?

Automated pizza systems compete on authenticity claims they currently cannot substantiate. A named, verifiable Italian master behind a dough profile is a marketing asset a generic style label is not, and it answers the tradition objection that automated pizzeria brands face directly from their own customers.

What is the current status of the registry?

The registry is in formation. Twelve regional traditions have been mapped and enrolment of masters is open. No claim is made of a completed roster. Manufacturers can register interest now and be matched to masters as enrolment proceeds.

Is recorded demonstration data available?

Not off the shelf. Capture is commissioned against a buyer specification: tradition, number of masters, repetitions, hydration and flour variation, sensor stack, and delivery format. Egocentric first-person capture paired with a synchronised third-person view is the default protocol. Delivery in LeRobot or RLDS format with per-clip provenance and signed consent.

How does the master get paid?

The master signs a mandate appointing the registry to licence his name, likeness and certification. Licence revenue is shared with the master on every unit licensed. The master retains a veto on which companies may use his name.
